Flood study
Community members are being encouraged to view and provide feedback on a draft Flood Study, which analyses various rain events and how they may affect parts of Mosman.
Prepared by Manly Hydraulics Laboratory, a government agency that provides specialist and impartial advice on managing water flow, flooding and understanding coastal and environmental systems, the study provides technical flood information to Council, emergency services and the community.
Outcomes of the study will help Mosman by allowing the State Emergency Service and Council to better plan for and manage flood events; increasing community safety, awareness and resilience; informing decision-making to minimise flood risk for new developments; and supporting future upgrades to Council's infrastructure.
