Development Control Plans
Development Control Plans (DCPs) are plans adopted by Council to support the Mosman Local Environmental Plan 2012 and provide more detailed planning and design guidelines. The relevant DCP should be referred to when considering development.
The current versions of the DCPs are provided below:
- Residential Development Control Plan (15MB) The Mosman Residential DCP (2012) applies to all land zoned Residential.
- Business Centres Development Control Plan (5.2MB) The Mosman Business Centres DCP (2012) applies to all land zoned Business as well as land at The Spit zoned RE2.
- Open Space and Infrastructure Development Control Plan (4.2MB) The Open Space and Infrastructure DCP applies to all other zones.
Change to Business Zones
The NSW Government is changing the name of Business zones across NSW to Employment zones. Employment zones commence within Mosman Local Environmental Plan 2012 on 26 April 2023. From 26 April 2023, a reference to a Business zone B1, B2 or B6 in a document should be taken to be a reference to an Employment zone E1 or E3.
Changes to Residential DCP in effect from 27 May 2022
At the Council Meeting on 1 March 2022, Council endorsed a number of changes to Mosman Residential DCP 2012. The changes are in connection with the proposed rezoning of land in the Scenic Protection Area from R2 Low Density Residential to C4 Environmental Living under Mosman Local Environmental Plan 2012. The changes came in effect on 27 May 2022 on the date Amendment No 11 to Mosman LEP 2012 was gazetted. An updated version of the Residential DCP is provided above.
Change to Environment Zones
The NSW Government is changing the name of Environment Zones across NSW to Conservation Zones. As of 1 December 2021, a reference to an Environment Protection zone E1, E2, E3 or E4 in a document should be taken to be a reference to a Conservation zone C1, C2, C3 or C4.
