Mosman Square update

Significant progress has been made with paving works in Mosman Square and areas will be gradually reopened to the public over the coming weeks with the section outside the Civic Centre entrance set to be accessible for pedestrians mid next week.

New trees and shrubs are also set to be planted next week in the recently completed garden beds in the surrounding area.

At the rear of the Civic Centre, new seat steps are being completed next to the Village Green to provide a link from an outdoor “café” style area with moveable furniture on the upper level down to the green. 

The project has a strong sustainability focus with the Village Green being backfilled with soil removed from the square and its turf surface reinforced by mesh to promote longevity and low maintenance while recycled pavers are being used where possible.
