New T20 cricket in Mosman

Allan Border Oval is among the host sites for the T20 Spring Challenge, a new domestic 20-over women's cricket tournament introduced for the 2024-2025 season. 

The nine-team competition, commencing on 11 October, features teams from around Australia with matches to be played in Sydney and Adelaide. 

Sydney Thunder and the ACT Meteors will host teams at Allan Border Oval in Mosman, starting on 13 and 14 October. 

North Sydney Oval is another Sydney location hosting competition matches. 

The selection of Allan Border Oval as a match venue follows the opening in May of the new state-of-the-art Allan Border Oval Pavilion and grandstand. 

The facility meets contemporary requirements for sports and broader community needs, while being accessible to diverse user groups and respecting the heritage legacy of Mosman Park.
