From the Mayor - 23 April 2020

Posted on Thursday 23 April 2020

Thank you to all Mosman residents for remaining vigilant and fully compliant with our heath experts’ advice. Australia is experiencing a significant reduction in the spread of COVID-19 and if we can sustain this trend, we will all experience a gradual easing of restrictions.

Importantly, we need to resist complacency and remain patient as the worst-case scenario is we relax restrictions too early and face the absolutely devastating situation of locking down all over again.

Most especially at this time, up to date factual information is critical and Council continues to prioritise expanding the capability and accessibility of our digital media platforms to ensure our community is kept well informed.

As we approach Anzac Day, the five qualities that typify the Anzac Spirit – mateship, humour, ingenuity, courage and endurance – hold true more than ever in 2020.

I am confident Mosman households will adapt to a very different Anzac Day with individual family services that will honour, commemorate and remember our military servicemen and women.

Lest We Forget.
