Mayoral Minutes – Recognising Former Councillor Libby Moline and retiring Director of Corporate Services Ben Wicks

Newly elected Mayor Ann Marie Kimber paid tribute to former Councillor Libby Moline who served on Council for 16 consecutive years including a 27-month term as Deputy Mayor. Mayor Kimber recognised former Cr Moline’s significant achievements during her time as well as her dedication to the Mosman community.

The Mayor also recognised Corporate Services Director Ben Wicks who is retiring after seven years in the role and noted the high level of services his portfolio has delivered during this time.

Councillors Oaths and Affirmations

Each of the Councillors were sworn in by the General Manager, making an Oath or Affirmation of Office.

Election of Deputy Mayor

Councillor Michael Randall was elected to the position of Deputy Mayor for a period of 12 months to September 2025.

Councillor Membership of Committees 

Councillor representatives to various committees and groups were determined. Council will proceed to call for community membership to the Community Consultative Committees.

Countback elections for Councillor Vacancies

In line with the Local Government Act Council determined that any vacancies occurring in the first 18 months of the Council term would be determined via a countback of votes from the last election (14 September 2024), in lieu of a by-election being held for that position.
